Requirements:

• Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree from an institution recognized by the Ministry of Health; Masters Degree is an advantage
• Minimum 5 years Post Graduate experiences preferably in hospital environment.
• Registered and currently licensed to practice in country of origin;
• Wiling to works flexible hours. Weekends; including public holidays.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required; should be adept at counseling patents pharmaceutical needs.
• Should be proficient and knowledgeable in using a computer to assist in the accurate dispensing of medicine;
• Willing to use initiatives is analytical and able to more quick & efficient decisions; and
• Must work independently but also required to contribute effectively in a team environment.

Job Descriptions:

• Advise patients and answer questions about prescription drugs, including questions about possible side effects and interactions among different drugs.
• Provide information and make recommendations about over-the-counter drugs.
• Review prescriptions to assure accuracy, to ascertain the needed ingredients, and to evaluate their suitability.
• To dispense medication as stated on prescription, maintaining accurate dispensing records and ensuring that the medication is labeled with the correct drug names strength, quantity, directions for use, patient’s name and includes any additional required information;
• Candidate with experience in Oncology unit must be competent in handling (reconstitution and mixing) oncology drugs. and
• Candidate would also be expected to respond to queries from patients, pharmacies, Hospitals and suppliers in an effective & professional manner at all times.
