Requirements:

• A recognized qualification or specified training in Paramedics or EMT, holding valid registration, certification, or license with a relevant governing body;
• Minimum 3 years Post Graduate experience is beneficial;
• Wiling to work flexible hours weekends, including public holidays; and
• Should display excellent decision making and critical thinking skills in the event of an emergency.

Job Descriptions:

• Administer pre-hospital emergency care, such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), oxygen, bandaging and splinting to patients.
• Establish and maintain intravenous treatment (IV), apply adjunctive equipment for ventilation and circulation complications, administer medications and provide other emergency treatment to patients,
• Using various kinds of equipment, including ventilators to assist breathing and defibrillators to treat heart failure, in order to resuscitate and stabilize patients;
• Recognizes and understands a medical emergency and makes reasonable and acceptable differential diagnosis,
• Performs critical physical examinations, institutes appropriate emergency therapy where essential for the preservation of life;
• Performs technical rescues in removing victims from varied terrain and circumstances
• Understands and anticipates the pharmacological treatment of critically and injured patients;
• Transports the ill and injured to institutions of medical care.
